hope in a jarPhilosophy Hope in a Jar is another skin moisturizer that claims to be very effective in renewing the skin’s healthier and younger glow. This skin care product was also chosen as one of Oprah’s Favorite Things® for 2005. It key ingredients are beta glucan, a powerful antioxidant that can protect the skin from damage, and lactic acid that can make the skin look and feel smooth and healthy.

They claim that you need this product if:

• Your skin is normal with a traditional t-zone.

Conclusion: There was a great hype about this product. But after getting valuable information from actual users, we conclude that Philosophy Hope in a Jar is not the best moisturizer ever. There are many users who are satisfied with the results. This product can moisturize the skin and make it feel smooth for longer hours. But one thing most users dislike about this product is the smell. The scent is not great. Another downside of this product is the price. It is a bit pricey.

This product may or may not work for you. Because of its great moisturizing power, it can provide good results on dry and sensitive skin but it is not suitable for oily skin. I would describe the scent as “wet dog” smell. Not pleasant.

The smell is just rancid! The hydration isn’t great, though somehow it kept my skin clear and smooth. There is also flaking with certain products you use this with, or if you layer it over itself.

I just don’t get the hype – there are much better moisturizers out there especially at this price.
