One action lacking with this cream is that it has no moisturizing ability which means you will also need a separate moisturizer if you want to keep your skin cells hydrated, especially that salicylic acid can tend to dry up your skin after use.

The claims of Jergens are simple so you won’t expect a lot of things from it. It claims to deeply cleanse the skin, soften it and provide moisturizing effects. Aside from these, it does not claim to have the special anti-aging effects of other creams. Its ingredients are not well known and mostly function as moisturizers and cleansers.

As you know, one of the most important actions of anti wrinkle creams is their moisturizing capabilities. A very good moisturizer is already an effective cream in helping the skin improve its overall complexion and resist incurring further damages which can contribute to the faster aging of the skin. With this criterion alone, Jergens is able to fulfill this as well as have a good cleansing effect which is useful for removing makeup before going to sleep at night.

Positives:

The increase in moisture and water content of the cells effectively smoothes out any imperfections on the surface of the skin, as well as making it more resistant to damage.

Hylauronic acid is a common ingredient used in a lot of wrinkle creams and helps improve the strength of collagen proteins present in the body. This way, skin can become firmer and more elastic, thus reducing wrinkles and preventing new ones from forming. Vitamin A on the other hand, is a substance needed by the skin when reproducing and repairing damage. Neutrogena Ageless Restoratives claims to neutralizing the free radicals in the body which can cause skin damage; smoothen the texture of the skin; brighten the skin tone ,and reverse the signs of past damage such as dry and rough skin.

The main ingredients included in Neutrogena Ageless Restoratives are composed of a triple antioxidant blend. The first ingredient is Feverfew, an antioxidant obtained from plants which works by soothing and calming the skin as well as offering relief from stress due to environmental factors. The other ingredient is Gamma tocopherol, which is a very potent form of Vitamin E which is already an established antioxidant. Lastly, the product also makes use of essential soy, which is rich and proteins and has natural moisturizing properties that can even out texture and brighten skin tone.

The main ingredients and benefits of Neutrogena. But while these ingredients are truly helpful and beneficial to the skin, the product’s claims appear to be far more than what it should be able to do. Neutrogena Ageless Restoratives says that it can reduce previous damage caused by environmental factors, improve the state of wrinkles as well as eliminate age spots and uneven skin tone. These appear to be a lot of claims for a cream that only has these three ingredients to carry out its main anti-aging effects.

However, the product does have redeeming factors. For the price of only $14.12, Neutrogena is just what you bargained for. Overall, I would say that Neutrogena Ageless Restoratives would work well as anti oxidant cream, a wrinkle prevention cream or an initial wrinkle cream for women who do not have very heavy lines and wrinkles yet.

This cream was created way back in to 1950’s with Vitamins B5 and E as the main ingredients, and used as an ointment based formula to help increase the absorption of medicine that is topically applied. As the 1980’s came, more ingredients have been added to this formula thus making it more effective.

Some ingredients of EB5 are the original Vitamins B5 and E, but Vitamins A and D has also been added to the new formulation. These vitamins are all needed by the skin to help in cell regeneration, or in eliminating free radicals that tend to build up and increase the rate of skin aging. Aside from these vitamins, EB5 also has allantoin and oat flour which work great as moisturizers of the skin. This will help make skin suppler and more resistant to damage. Other than these ingredients, EB5 does not seem to have any real ingredients that are specifically made for eliminating wrinkles, even though it is marketed as a wrinkle cream. Even though the formulation has been updated, it does not seem to contain any of the modern anti-aging ingredients such as peptides or matrixyl which are new and proven ingredients when it comes to eliminating wrinkles.

This is quite a lot for a single cream to solve as there are creams that are made specifically for the eyes, while others focus on eliminating wrinkles. Naturally, one will be skeptical about believing this product’s claims.

Some of Dermatopin’s ingredients are Matrixyl 3000, eyeseryl, Pepha-Tight, Vitamin C and various peptides. Eyeseryl and Matrixyl 3000 are already proven in the field of anti-aging. A lot of the most effective creams will always contain one or both of these ingredients. Eyeseryl’s effects are mostly around the eyes where it reduces puffiness and dark lines, as well as crow’s feet. Matrixyl 3000 on the other hand, stimulates production of collagen and elastin which helps the skin regain its elasticity. It also has a function in reversing glycation damage to the skin which is responsible for hardening collagen fibers. Pepha-Tight is great at inducing the skin to become tauter so that existing wrinkles will become shallower and less sagging of the skin will occur. Vitamin C is important in boosting collagen production while the other peptides are needed by the skin to improve and nourish your cells.
