Wrinkle Repair by Neostrata

Anti Wrinkle cream reviews

Rating: ★★★☆☆

Rating: 65/100

Neostrata wrinkle repair is made to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and sun damage. It claims to be effective for all skin types, can remove even deep wrinkles, and suits people 40 years and older. It reduces wrinkles by up to 66% within two months, improves skin tone and texture to result in younger looking skin.

Its active ingredient is Matrixyl and Retinol, which are widely used in anti-wrinkle and anti-aging creams. Matrixyl promotes a more youthful appearance by two means. The first is by accelerating of wounds to heal by stimulating the lower layers of the skin to produce new cells. The second is by stimulating the matrix of the skin to produce collagen and fibronectin, which contributes to increasing skin elasticity and consequently reducing sagging skin and wrinkles. The second major ingredient, Retinol, works similarly to Matrixyl because it also stimulates collagen production as well as increase cell turnover. This is especially effective in acne patients by helping unclog pores and exfoliate the skin. Lastly, it also promotes softer skin thus helping project a younger image. Aside from the two ingredients, it also boasts of a MicroDelivery system, which protects the potency of Retinol while reducing irritation.

Most of this product’s claims may be true as both of its ingredients, Matrixyl and Retinol, are already proven to reduce wrinkles and produce younger-looking skin. One contradiction of their claims is that Neostrata Wrinkle Repair is effective for all skin types. Unfortunately, this is a very bold statement as everyone’s skin is different and no one product can be effective for all people. Its claim that deep wrinkles can be reduced may be because its effects can easily be seen with deep wrinkles, but not in superficial ones. This might explain why wrinkle repair is suitable for people 40 years old or above.

Overall, this is a good product to try at least once to see if it is effective for your skin. If it works for your skin, then it is worth your money, if not, you can always find other products better suited for you.

Negatives:
- Neostrata Wrinkle Repair is a bit expensive
- Need to be above 40 years old to be effective
- Does not work for everyone
- Too much Retinol can cause irritation

Advantages:
- Its ingredients are proven effective at reducing wrinkles and improving skin
- Matrixyl is non-toxic, safe and has no side effects
- Effects can be seen as early as two weeks of use
- Product was tested in laboratories

Conclusion: Overall, this is a good product to try at least once to see if it is effective for your skin. If it works for your skin, then it is worth your money, if not, you can always find other products better suited for you.
